  1. Establishing and defining the client-planner relationship
  2. Gathering client data including goals*
  3. Analyzing and evaluating the client's financial status
  4. Developing and presenting financial planning recommendations and/or alternatives
  5. Implementing the financial planning recommendations
  6. Monitoring the financial planning recommendations


Getting Started*: 


Useful documents to bring with you during your first data gathering meeting with Clayton Wright Wealth Management: Banking and brokerage statements: checking, savings, money market, education savings accounts, and brokerage accounts. Retirement asset statements: statements for all of your retirement plans, including individual retirement plans, pensions, 401(k), 403(b), and profit-sharing plans, showing current balances and investments. Debt Statements: for your mortgage or home equity loans, credit cards, auto loans, student loans, etc. Other financial documents: If you have life insurance, an annuity, a trust fund, or other similar type of financial assets, bring along those documents as well.

Clayton Wright began his investment management career when he joined the Global Wealth Management Group of Morgan Stanley in 2003.  Since that time he has managed investment portfolios for individuals, families, business owners, small corporations and non-profit organizations.   


After gaining invaluable experience in his years with a major Wall Street firm Mr. Wright decided he would best serve his clients by opening his own boutique wealth management office which would focus on independent financial solutions and objective investment advice.  After much contemplation and many months of due diligence and research Clayton Wright Wealth Management was created when Mr. Wright found the strength of independence provided by LPL Financial, the #1 independent broker/dealer in the country.*


Mr. Wright earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from UMBC (University of Maryland, Baltimore County.) Mr. Wright completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(TM) certification curriculum through The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in 2009 and also successfully passed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(TM) exam.
